POD Continues Shelter Assistance for Displaced Families in Southern Gaza

For nearly three years, the Palestinian Organization for Development (POD) has continued implementing shelter interventions in southern Gaza to support families affected by the ongoing crisis and repeated displacement.

These interventions are designed to respond to families’ immediate shelter needs and contribute to improving their living conditions. Working in coordination with its partners, POD continues to provide shelter-related services and humanitarian assistance according to the needs identified among displaced and affected communities.

Families living in displacement settings face difficult conditions, including limited shelter space, exposure to changing weather, overcrowding, and restricted access to essential services. In this context, shelter support represents an important part of the broader humanitarian response.

Despite operational challenges and the continuing scale of need, POD remains committed to working with its partners to reach vulnerable families. Each intervention seeks to reduce part of the burden they face, provide greater safety and protection, and preserve their dignity during displacement.

What was achieved?

  • POD maintained shelter and humanitarian assistance for affected and displaced families in southern Gaza for nearly three years. The interventions helped address urgent shelter needs, reduce exposure to difficult living conditions, and support families’ safety and dignity.
