POD Organizes a “Small Museum” Activity for Children under the Care, Community and Artivism Project
The Palestinian Organization for Development (POD) conducted a psychosocial support session under the Spanish-funded Care, Community and Artivism project, during which the activity space was transformed into a small museum.
Children were invited to present objects they considered personally valuable and share the meanings, memories, and emotions associated with them. The activity offered a safe and structured setting for children to express themselves and listen to the experiences of their peers.
Through this activity, children explored the idea that the value of an object is not determined by its financial cost, but by the personal memories, relationships, and feelings connected to it.
The session forms part of POD’s efforts to support children’s emotional expression, strengthen communication, and provide age-appropriate psychosocial activities.
What was achieved?
- The activity enabled children to express personal memories and emotions through meaningful objects in a safe setting. It also encouraged listening, communication, and respect for the different experiences and feelings of others.
