POD Reaches hundreds of thousands of People through Hygiene Promotion Sessions across displacement Camps in Middle Area and Khanyonis
The Palestinian Organization for Development’s Hygiene Promotion Team continues to conduct awareness sessions across displacement camps in central and southern Gaza. The activities aim to strengthen health knowledge and encourage safer daily practices among different community groups.
The sessions are tailored to the needs of men, women, adolescent girls, and children. Interactive methods are used to present practical information and encourage participants to apply healthy practices within their households and shelters.
The Hygiene Promotion sessions address five main topics: menstrual health practices for women and adolescent girls; safe household water storage for men and women; food and shelter hygiene; latrine maintenance for men; and proper handwashing for girls and boys under the age of 18.
What was achieved?
- The Hygiene Promotion Team delivered sessions to hundreds of thousands of participants across camps. The activities provided different community groups with practical information on menstrual health, water safety, hygiene, latrine maintenance, and handwashing, supporting safer health practices in displacement settings.
