POD’s MEAL and WASH Teams Monitor Drinking Water Trucking Operations

As part of its commitment to delivering quality humanitarian services, the Palestinian Organization for Development (POD) conducted a joint field monitoring visit through its Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Team and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Team.

The visit focused on drinking water supplied to participating communities through water trucks. Its purpose was to review implementation procedures and verify compliance with the established safety and quality requirements for water delivery.

During the visit, the teams monitored the water supply and transportation process, reviewed how the activity was being implemented in the field, and checked the application of relevant operational and safety procedures.

The monitoring visit also supported the identification of any operational gaps requiring follow-up and helped ensure that the intervention was implemented according to the planned procedures and the needs of participating families.

Through joint monitoring between the MEAL and WASH teams, POD strengthens quality assurance, transparency, accountability, and evidence-based follow-up within its humanitarian water interventions.

What was achieved?

  • The visit verified field implementation procedures for drinking water trucking and strengthened coordination between the MEAL and WASH teams. It also supported quality control, accountability, and the identification of issues requiring follow-up.
