About Us
Palestinian organization for Development is a charitable founded in the city of Deir al-Balah - Gaza Strip in 2000. Registered with the Palestinian Ministry of Interior under number 7040, and licensed to operate by the Ministry of Social Affairs in 2002. The agency's work is guided by both local and international values, aiming for freedom, preserving human dignity, and ensuring equality in rights without discrimination. We are dedicated to fostering a culture of peace and non-violence as fundamental pillars for the success of development and enhancement programs within the Palestinian community. Our mission includes contributing to positive and lasting changes in people's lives, exerting every effort to expand our scope of work to encompass all Palestinian areas and cities. This is due to the urgent need for all charitable services and development programs in those areas. To achieve its goals, the agency relies on the following concepts:
1- Methodical identification of the needs and priorities of Palestinian society.
2-Utilization of charitable resources to establish projects beneficial to the community.
3-Strengthening the vision towards executing sustainable development projects and programs.
4- The agency actively contributes to the development of charitable and voluntary work for community service. It focuses its activities on active participation and collaboration with others, both locally and internationally.
Economic and Social Development Program
The overall objective of the program is to provide developmental services, encourage self-initiatives and productivity, assist in implementing income-generating and productive projects, and contribute to providing employment opportunities to reduce unemployment and enhance self-reliance. The program targets several sectors, including development and construction sector, job creation sector, professional and technical business sector, and the agricultural sector.
Education Program
The overall objective of the program is to provide educational services in both formal and informal educational sectors, through training kindergarten teachers on modern teaching methods, coaching and educating children, youth, and women on concepts of tolerance and accepting others, providing psychological support, and many other services.
Emergency Relief Program
The overall objective of the program is to respond to emergencies and provide immediate humanitarian aid during and after the emergency, by means of providing relief aids like food, cloths, and houseware, and contribute in the recovery of those affected by the emergency.
