About Us
The Palestinian Organization for Development (POD) is a charitable organization founded in Deir al-Balah – Gaza Strip in 2000. It is registered with the Palestinian Ministry of Interior under number 7040 and licensed to operate by the Ministry of Social Affairs in 2002. POD’s work is guided by both local and international values, with a focus on freedom, human dignity, and equality of rights without discrimination. The organization is committed to fostering a culture of peace and non-violence as fundamental pillars for the success of its development and enhancement programs within the Palestinian community. POD strives to contribute to positive and lasting change in people’s lives, expanding its scope of work across all Palestinian areas and cities to address the urgent need for charitable services and development programs.
To achieve its objectives, the organization is guided by the following principles:
1- Systematic identification of the needs and priorities of Palestinian society.
2- Effective use of charitable resources to implement projects that benefit the community.
3- Strengthening its commitment to the planning and implementation of sustainable development programs and projects.
4- Active contribution to the advancement of charitable and voluntary work in community service, with a focus on participation and cooperation at both local and international leve
